Orlando Haddad (guitar, vocals), Patricia King (piano, vocals), John Swana (Trumpet, EVI), Andrew Neu (Saxophone), Tom Cohen (Drums) and Jim Stager (Bass) bring their signature MINAS sound to World Cafe playing music of two of the most significant songwriters of of our era, Cole Porter and Antonio Carlos Jobim, from the USA and Brazil.

Straddling both Americas, MINAS interprets Porter and Jobim with a sultry, acoustic approach, seamlessly blending American Jazz and Brazilian rhythms with arrangements written by both King and Haddad, on piano and guitar. Brazilian and American ingredients complete a perfect musical recipe, featuring male and female vocals intertwining Portuguese and English in intimate vocal dialogue, against the soft brush work of Bossa Nova rhythms and acoustic bass, mixed with horns soloing over the supreme harmonic changes of these two giant composers.
