The Penn Glee Club Band is the hottest band on Penn's campus. Specializing in funk, pop, and improvisation, their groove is sure to get the feet moving and the room bouncing.
Not Mister Purple is a band that was formed on a dark and stormy night by a group of musically skilled students jamming together early in their freshman year. Fueled by their shared passion for songwriting and performing, they broke into the campus music scene, making their debut at the Kelly Writers House. With Not Mister Purple’s repertoire containing an eclectic amalgamation of genres, ranging anywhere from classic rock to hyperpop, it’s hard to pin down exactly who they are. But, it’s clear who they are not.
Trouble at the Doormat is a psychedelic funk band hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band features James Calderwood on bass and vocals, Liam Wiedmann on guitar and vocals, Konrad Neely on trumpet and keyboard, and EJ Belter on drums.
Cadalay is a 3 piece band from Philly attending Temple University on the side. Just put out our new EP teenage escapades, check it out!
Simply Sedated is a hard-rocking trio based in Philadelphia, PA. Fronted by guitarist Eric Weir, and rhythmically reinforced by bassist, Gavyn Green, and drummer, Jaxon Graham. They deliver a unique punk rock punch with gritty crunch tones. The band’s name implicates that twisted, jaded feeling of general discontent. Simply Sedated is fed up with the world around them and searches for freedom through their musical expression. Creatively, the group is fueled by vibrations of late 1960’s, early 1970’s rock and roll, and the dark undertones of the 90’s grunge movement. Pulling inspiration from Led Zeppelin, the Stooges and the torn vocals of Nirvana, the group has bred a distinctive and unmistakable punch.
