On December 9th, WXPN Welcomes Hiss Golden Messenger! This Durham, NC folk band is fronted by M.C. Taylor, who has been making music for more than 20 years. The prolific songwriter has been recently flooded with inspiration, releasing 2017’s Hallelujah Anyhow less than a year after 2016’s Heart Like a Levee, which itself was packaged with a bonus eight-song record, Vestapol. Taylor explains, “These songs felt like they were flying over my head and I reached up and caught them. It was pretty simple in that way.
